My 1949 Willys CJ-3A had been with the previous owners family for generations. His wife’s grandfather purchased it and was passed down, her husband inherited it from her father after he passed. After years of owning it they decided it was time to sell it due to kids and grand kids not wanting anything to do with it. I have always wanted a “old army Jeep” my whole life being a history nut. I found the listing in Texas and got in touch, my wife and I drove 8 hours there and back from Oklahoma to Texas. I am currently fixing and adding in parts to the jeep or “skipper” from what they called it. I’m dressing it up to look like an M38. My kids and wife absolutely love the Jeep. My son who is 4, loves helping me replace parts and work on the Jeep. At the previous owners request their grandfathers name was put in the tailgate. They asked if I would keep it on there and I assured them it would stay on there forever.
