Robert Kain

On this Veterans Day I wanted to share a picture of my father, Sergeant Lovell Kain US Army, getting out of an M38 at Camp Gordon Georgia in 1954. My father had returned from serving in the Korean Conflict and was visiting his younger brother Donald stationed at Camp Gordon GA. My father and his older brother John drove straight through from Michigan to see their younger brother before he too was deployed to Korea. My uncle John also served during the Korean Conflict stateside at Ft. Benning GA. My father and my uncles told many stories of “The Mighty Jeep” and how it served them well during their time in the Army and how much fun they were to drive. On this Veteran’s Day I want to thank all those who have served our country.
