We found this CJ-3B in an old barn covered over. After talking for awhile we finally talked the owner into selling. He said that it has been sitting out there for years and it won’t crank, I said that’s fine and we were off on our way to a never ending journey. It took us a long time to come up with the funds to restore this CJ-3B because we have 3 boys and a little princess who are in high demand. After about a year of driving it around using switches to keep it running we tore it down to nothing and thanks to Kaiser Willys Jeep Supply were able to completely restore the Jeep. It is still all original and runs even better, we take it to all the shows and parades around our community every where I go people turn their heads. It feels good to have brought a peace of our past back to life, I painted it with the military look and although a lot of people do I have made a few changes on mine. The lettering on the hood is actually my birthday and first and last initial on the other side is my wife’s and on the front bumper we have our anniversary on one side the other is the year we restored it so it looks millitary but is actully meaningful. After we got the Jeep fever we bought our oldest boy a CJ-5 81 model and restored it for his 16th birthday. He learned how to drive a stick in his first Jeep and claimed to pass it on to my 4 year old daughter has the fever as well. She has already said when she gets bigger she wants a pink Jeep with big tires. Well I’m already on the hunt for one. I am sharing before and after photos of the two we have done I hope you guys like them and enjoy seeing them as much as I do thanks Kaiser Willys for all the help and inspiration.
