776: Andrew Dziadek’s 1951 Willys Jeep

I built this Jeep in the spirit of what an ex-serviceman could have done, after returning from Korea, by transplanting all the running gear from an early Ford Flathead powered dragster, into a war surplus Jeep. Engine is a 1948 Ford Flathead, with Isky valve train, Flatattack alloy heads, GM 471 supercharger and 3 x Holley 94 carbs. Gearbox is NOS 3 speed, with a 30% manually shifted overdrive. Axles are Dana 44 front and rear.
