It took two years to restore. I got it out of a field, the motor had been rebuilt, but everything else needed to be done.

  1. Marco! Congratulations on a job well done. I also have a 1946 CJ-2A and was with my parents when they purchased it new! I was only three and don’t remember it, but was told about it many times. My Dear Mama taught me to drive in it and I taught my son as well so it is definitely a member of the family. Our CJ has lots of scratches and scrapes and we are proud of them as it earned each one. Just a few weeks ago we pulled some shrubs for our neighbor and Jeep behaved magnificently. Best of luck to you and thanks for sharing your story and if you are ever in Idaho please stop by.
