671: Jeffrey Brnak’s 1952 Willys CJ-3A

This is my 1952 Willys CJ-3A. It was bought by my dad in 1972. Threw a rod 45 years ago and sat in the bone yard till 2016. I started the resto in 2016. Almost everything was rebuilt or replaced. The frame, differentials springs and all undercarriage was powder coated. All the work was done by me in our farm shop including the body work and paint.

  1. This is a great restoration! Add an Overdrive and you have the perfect Willys. I have done a 1946 CJ2A and a 1952 M38. The 46 I did very little in terms of modifications except making it 12 volts.

The M38 I added dual cylinder master with 11″ brakes, Saginaw steering, New Rancho springs w/ 2″ of lift, heater, roll bar, and new seats. I also Rhino lined the underside and interior of the tub.

I love that your project is so original. Best of luck with it. You have done a beautiful job.

  2. This is one of the cleanest restorations I’ve seen. I love that you made it your own with the color and the rims. Looks fabulous, thanks for sharing.
