607: McKay Merrill’s 1948 Willys CJ-2A
I bought my 1948 CJ-2A lefty (spare tire is on the opposite side) last summer and enjoyed driving it during the summer and fall. I found lots of items that needed to be repaired on it and decided to do a full mechanical restoration but leave the body the way it is. After rebuilding the engine, transmission and transfer case it runs like new. I drive it up to the mountains almost every week to enjoy it.

I am rebuilding my 47 CJ2A. I am working on the knuckles on the front. I got my 15 lbs of pull and assembled and
retorqued with the hood on topput the sweep ass. On the back
you know for the brake line.
How tight do you tighten those felt rubber and
clamps with the 8 bolts because I can hardly turn the knuckle?
