575: Brian Doyle’s 1960 CJ-5 Jeep

This old girl spend the first 50 + years of her existence in Connecticut and the last 10 years here in Canada. I purchased it from relatives.  It’s pretty rusty, to the point where a body restoration is just too expensive to undertake. Mechanically, it’s in good condition, thanks to Kaiser-Willys who have provided anything I needed to keep is going. From fuel tank, fuel pump, carb kits, filters, complete clutch assembly and a complete brake overhaul kit, they have been able to supply everything I’ve needed. I use the Jeep to get around on my property all 4 seasons and it has never gotten stuck or let me down. I wanted to show that not every Jeep has to be fully restored to be enjoyed!!

  1. Nice looking Jeeo you have and I believe like you do. The mechanics parts are more important then the pretty shine paint . I have a 67 Jeep I,ll be starting on this spring. Just finished up 78 Bronco. You have a real Jeep their 100%. Not a fake Chrysler product and alot easier to work on and more dependable . No electronic junk to try and test.
