557: Randy Ferguson’s 1959 Willys CJ-3B
My daughter, Lauren, and I purchased this Willys in Marlin, Texas. The seller had purchased the Willys about 25 years earlier from the estate of H H Coffield. Mr. Coffield had a large ranch in south Texas called The Diamond H and it had become a favorite place for celebrities to relax and enjoy nature. Many celebrities, according to the seller, have driven this Willys. We have a picture of Dizzy Dean and Mr. Coffield in the Willys. The seller had seen a photo of Gregory Peck driving the Jeep but was unable to purchase the photograph. We now are the third owner of this classic.
