283: Pete Kresmery’s 1964 CJ-3B

I bought it used in 1979. I threw away the body on the way home due to the amount of rust. Restored the chassis and bought a new Acme steel body in 1980. Drove it during one Michigan winter and the new body got rusty. Repaired the rust poorly in 1990. Decided to repair the rust correctly this year. Bought a lot of parts from Kaiser Willys including the Willys stamped grille because back in 1980 the replacement bodies had no WILLYS stampings on them. I also bought the WILLYS stampings for the hood and welded them in. I replaced a lot of the rusty metal this time including many of the underbody supports. The paint was done myself in the garage and it came out pretty good. I used stainless steel fasteners throughout this time.
