228: Mark Naughton’s 1951 Willys M38 Restoration
This Jeep served the Army at Fort Leavenworth Kansas during the Korean War. Since I retired from the Army at this same past in 2006, it has special meaning for my family. I intend to return it to military specifications.

hi Jeff,
these things are always a work in progress, aren’t they? There is much more that i would like to do. i do have a plan to stencil the body. my first attempt didn’t turn out so good, so i cleaned it up to try again! when i get the one-piece windshield, i will also be in the market for a canvas top. i would like to see photos of your 51 Wagon. are they posted?
Very, Very nice.
I am doing a 1951 Willy’s Wagon
in a Korean War Style.
Did you decide to not
Go with stencils?
I am using a “Stencil”

To make my own stencils
Hi John, Mark has plans to replace the windshield with the correct one.
Real nice job
I Have a 51 willys m38 also they don’t have a split windshield.
thanks Bob!
And thanks Kaiser Willys for help with this project and nominating my jeep. Last step is the windshield replacement, and i will be complete! Somewhere in its past, an older windshield was installed. When i discovered this vehicle, it had been turned into a teenagers pasture mudder, complete with roll cage, fender extenders, grill guard, hood scoop, beefy tires, and extra lights, etc. This old veteran needed some TLC. Hard times were evident. Now she has been in a parade with other proud veterans, as she deserves.
