204: Romeo Dilig’s 1942 Willys MB
This is my Willys MB which was manufactured in 1942 as written on its Data Plate. I bought this Jeep in September of 2010 from a famous mechanic of military vehicles here in Bataan, Philippines. When I first saw this Jeep, I was surprised because its parts were all practically original except for the radiator. It is powered by the Willys Overland “Go-Devil” Motor. Its transmission is a 3 speed T-84 with Transfer Case: 2 Speed DANA 18. This jeep was used by a landlord here in Bataan as his service vehicle in going to his huge farm for almost 30 years. When he died his eldest son decided to give this jeep to their mechanic. I started to restore my Willys MB in September, 2013. From then on, I haven’t stopped with the restoration until August 2014. I painted it twice because the first color that I chose was Willow Green. I decided to change the color to Olive Drab.

Very nice restoration job and beautiful jeep! Lots of WWII history in your area and that Jeep was probably a part of it all!

Wow! Nicely restore and what a great story about the Landlord giving it to his mechanic.

Bong, Very nice restoration job. I wish your Jeep is here in Arizona so I can Display it on our coming Military Vehicle Show on Jan. 24th and 25th. I have started working on my 1952 M38, it is apart and ready to be sunblasted. I will email you some pictures of the restoration progress. Happy Holidays, Jun Tolentino
