John Tracy's 1946 Willys CJ-2A

203: John Tracy’s 1946 Willys CJ-2A

This 46′ early Willys CJ-2A was purchased used in the late 1940’s by my great grandpa. It was used as a farm vehicle until the early 70’s. After that it sat until 2011 when I started to restore it. I had the great honor to include it in my wedding photos this August 2014. This Willys Jeep is truly a family heirloom and will carry on the traditions of our family for years to come.

  1. Mr. Tracy,
Congratulations on your wedding. When it comes to marriage some people like you are truly gifted! My first Jeep was a 1946 ‘2A also. To include the same parking lights. I had many memories of grat times in it.

    Sincerely,
    Dave

  3. You have a very nice Willys. Yours looks to be very early very early 46 or late 45 as it has the axe and shovel indentations on the drivers side and it is column shift. What is you serial number? My 46 is serial number 31877 as mine is very early too and is also a column shift but mine doesn’t have the indentations. And also looks like yours has a full floating rear end. Which makes me think it’s one of the first CJ2A’s built being a late 45.:) Keep on Jeepin!!!! 🙂
