128: Garret Fish’s 1946 Willys CJ-2A
A gift from my wife. This CJ-2A currently has a 4-134 F head engine, and the windshield is from a 1950 CJ-3A, the previous owner swapped windshields to make his CJ-3A look more like a WW2 MB. His research revealed it was originally owned by the forest service. With that in mind we want to get it restored to original configuration, L head engine, a hood without a blister, 2 piece windshield, original color scheme, U.S.F.S. markings and decals. Starts and run well and should be a fun family project. I hope to post other pictures as the project progresses.

Garret_I recently finished working on my 46 CJ2A basket case with an F engine. The last thing I did was the hood because I couldn’t stand to have the carb stick through the top. I found that the 60-63 Falcon used the same engine with a Holley 1904 Carb that is low profile and fits under the hood perfectly. If you google “Holley 1904 Carb” you will find info. I bought one on ebay for $225. It even has the rim around the top that fits the air cleaner horn. You will need to reroute the choke cable and slightly modify the valve cover gasket (3 wacks with a hammer). If you or anyone else wants to see a picture of mine email me @ cillingw@calpoly.edu. Good luck with your project.
