057: Russell Winje’s 1958 Willys FC-150
This is a short wheel base, wider track FC-150 Willys Jeep. Fully stock. Very good original condition. Though the vehicle has been passed down through the family we purchased it from, we are basically the second owners, as far as the Jeep would consider. Most of it’s life must have been under a good roof and with a careful eye on upkeep. It was used but not abused. Like all my fleet of antique vehicles it was a driver and as driven required attentions in my shop till a year later we could trust it to desert and mountain trips out from our farm or a journey across our own wetland to repair a fence.
Now it puts on more miles in our remote North Eastern California outback than our other vehicles and is especially suited to the snow and ice of winter. Game watching is especially fun with the fishbowl of glass and closed cab heat on those 6 months of high desert cool temperatures. Now my other classics collect dust in the barn while we put the FC to the test most every day.
