053: Frank Kloes’ 1955 Willys Truck
This is my Willys from start to finish. The truck is I suspect is a 1955 model. Although the chassis number indicates that it should be a wagon it is in fact a truck.
It was built up from scrap and slowly took shape where today I use it as my pick truck. It is still totally original including the super huricane six motor. The only change I made was to convert the front brake to disks and to add a brake booster. Before that it did not stop too well. The whole process has taken some years but the work was worth it.
There are not many of these trucks left in south africa and those that do exist have been converted to V8 engines, wide wheels and look like hot rods.
