Bought this jeep as a operating vehicle but soon discovered it needed 

restoration. Previously it had been owned by a fire department in 

Maine as evidenced in the red paint showing through the OD applied by 

the last owner. I went though all mechanical and electrical systems 

replacing, fixing and adjusting everything including finding a 

military engine block to replace the civilian engine that was toast. I 

haven’t done anything to the body – I’ve had too much fun driving it 

to take it off the road to do more work. Added two period radios – a 

PRC-10/VRC and a VRC-7.
