We purchased this 1946 Willys CJ-2A not long after my husband retired from the Army and our family moved to Wisconsin. A friend of a friend was selling it to focus on an airplane restoration.

The next three years was spent going through everything, replacing rotted panels, floor boards, the usual. Went through 3 blocks trying to find one that wasn’t cracked but we found one! It runs great and we have had an ABSOLUTE blast since it’s been finished! Almost 1,000 miles on it just this summer!

  1. Saw your CJ2a and also see your from Oshkosh. I as well have a CJ2a and used to live in Fond Du Lac. Originally from Colorado, and back there now. Greetings!

  3. Your project completion looks great . I’m restoring a MB. I also may need a block and head. Does your used block source have any more as well as a head? I’m in St Charles MN only a half day from Oshkosh WI.

  5. I should have you come out to our farm with your jeep sometime to have a beer, sign my jeep and we can talk about our jeep building trade secrets lol. I live in Eldorado Wisconsin just off HWY 26 (ten minutes away in a jeep) I have the FEDERAL Military Signature Jeep (the only 1943 Ford GPW BB jeep that I know of) I was never in the military but have any of the past and present USA military people sign the jeep in their honor. If you want to look me up, come to Rosendale Historical Society and ask for Mr. Wonderful. Its great to see another nice flat fender jeep/jeep person in the area, we seem to be few and far in-between in this area, but I think we do have the most fun!
