New Replacement Ignition Switch with Keys – Part#: 924918
Q: I have a 1953 CJ-3A. I got it with some missing parts. It doesn’t have a starter button on the floor. Will this start the engine without the floor mounted starter button?
- A: Yes, you can wire it that way if you don’t have a mechanical start.
Q: Hi, I own a 1946 CJ-2A and need an ignition switch with 3 prongs is your switch correct?
- A: Yes, this is the correct ignition switch for a CJ-2A
Q: Does this switch have 3 positions, OFF-ON-SPRING RETURN?
- A: Yes, that is correct.
Q: I need to replace the starter on a 1951 CJ-3A. The current starter is an original with a mechanical start, which is missing some parts. I am considering the starter number 641157 (12V). In the description this starter switch is suggested. I recently purchased the Jeep. The jeep has “an on/off” switch. When I need to start the Jeep I put the switch in the on position and have someone push me. Question, with this switch will it replace this on/off or will this switch be in addition to the on/off?
- A: Yes this is a complete ignition switch. WIth the original starter they used a mechanical linkage start. Our hi-torque starters do away with this.
Q: Does this work with an M38?
- A: Yes it will work fine if you are running 6 or 12 volt.
