Barry Worley

My name is Barry; I just got relocated back to Indiana and came across this Willys delivery truck. I just purchased this project and am looking forward to it’s completion…no matter how far off into the future that may be. This is the biggest project that I have taken on…well, it’s only my second project. Right now I have a mid to late 90’s S10 Blazer frame that I was going to put it on, but I think I’m going to get a 78 full size Blazer frame instead. I have a 350 right now as well, but I may hold out for a HEMI. There’s plenty for me to do before I’ll need to make up my mind for the engine so wish me luck.

  1. Hello Barry,

I am curious about the back of your wagon. From what I see in your pictures it should have the standard drop down tail gate and not the double doors of the delivery wagon. Can you confirm and or send me some pics?

I have a 1964 4×4 delivery wagon that was factory modified for the Forest Service. It has the double doors of the delivery wagon and side windows cut in to be similar to the station wagon. It also had the fenders flattened on top for the fold up bench seats that were also factory installed. I am trying to decide if I want to mount this on a shortened 1/2 ton GMC frame I have or keep it more stock. It is the only one like this I have seen since I bought my first 1949 utility wagon in 1984.

I would love to see what you are doing with your project. Please update when you can.

    Thanx, Chris
