Q: How many data plates are on the 1941-1945 MB?
- A: I believe there are a total of 8.
Q: I have a 1953 willys lark. I need a vin.
- A: This should work fine for you.
Q: I have 1953 CJ-3B, is the vin number stamped somewhere other than on the data plate? If so where?
- A: It should be on the firewall on the passenger side next to the oil bath air cleaner assembly.
Q: I cannot find a serial plate on my 49 willys pick up. Where else can I find the serial number on the truck? I want to confirm I have a good title for my truck..thanks for your help.
- A: Sit in the drivers seat. Put your left arm down. Check right by the tool bin. Also check by the glove box.
Q: Do you or do you know where I can get this ID plate engraved? If So will the numbers be raised?
- A: A local trophy shop can do this for you.
Q: I have a 1962 CJ-5 and my data plate with Willys on the top center is there another version for 62?
- A: No, this one will work for a 62 as well.
Q: From the dimensions of the body panels, and the fact that my jeep has a flat iron bar grill, I believe that I have a ’41 Willys MB. However, it does not have any of the id plates anywhere on it. Is there some other id tag (like on the frame) that I use to determine the vin # of my jeep?
- A: Try by the drivers side front frame rail just by the gusset.
Q: Could you engrave the serial number (chassis number which I have) on the data plate prior to shipping?
- A: You just take these up and have a local trophy shop engrave them.
Q: Need a VIN plate for my 67 CJ-5 not willys but just Jeep. (I think Kaiser ) do you have that one?
- A: This is the closest one that is available.
Q: I have a 1951 Willys Jeep and can not read the vin plaque #s, where else can I get the vin #s off of a Jeep?
- A: I would try to do an etching off your old one.

I have a 1958 Williys pick up that has been gifted to me from mother in law. I have paperwork where my deciesed father in law and living mother in law had it registered to them for several years in a row with the vin # on the registration . Apparently at some point my father in law had some local guy paint the truck for him and the vin plate that was beside the drivers seat was removed ( rivet holes are there ) I have the title that has the matching vin # that the old registration papers have. I can not get title changed until a plate or matching # is found somewhere on the truck. I have looked by the glove,on the frame both sides front and back of the spring shackles ,on the fire wall top to bottom. My mother in law doesn’t know much about any of this because this was his project ( fun stuff ) and says I’m lucky her name was on the title. If I purchase a new plate and have it at the trophy shop to get these # s from the registration and title that match have I broken any laws ?
