Bought Willys in 2009 from a farmer who had owned since 1980 and used

the Truck for plowing snow on a 1 mile lane. It had not been on the

highways in almost 30 years. The farmer’s son had put a 1969 Camaro

327 V8 engine for more plowing power. I striped Willys to bare metal

and found a really solid truck. A buddy in Dubuque IA hand made every

piece of tinted glass and installed all the rubber seals and track

fuzzies. I am going to install 1976 Scout II front axle assembly to

arrive at the Dana 44 gear strength and I have a rebuilt Turbo 350

with shift kit that will be mated to a 1978 Chevy gear to gear HI-LO

transfer case. Rear axle will likely be a Ford 9 inch or possibly a

Chevy rear end.
