My friend called “Nino” bought the car that was abandoned in a Gas Station, two years ago; so started the restoration. Originally the color was white and green, but, due to the model, “Luxo” (Luxury), he choosed the “marron canela” (brown cinnamon) and white that was other original colors of Ford Willys Rural in 1972 (the year of the car), because these are a more chic combination! I own a “F-75” Willys truck (pictures at Kaiser Willys Photo Galery), but due to be difficulty to drive it with my four grandchildren, my intent was to buy a station wagon. After some conversation, I bought the car from “Nino” one month ago! Not only I, but my wife, sons and, mainly my grandchildren are very happy. Next week the identification plates will be “black”, that indicates here in Brazil that is a “collection car”, granted to cars with 30 years or more, that are in perfect state of conservation and originality.
