New Rear Leaf Spring Assembly (2 required per vehicle) – Part#: A614
Q: Do the rear springs for a 45′ MB come in pairs? Or are they $125 a piece?
- A: They are each.
Q: My bushings will not fit in the leaf spring. Do I need to remove anything for them to fit, and how?
- A: Please call us toll free. I can walk you thru the install.
Q: I have a 45 MB and the rear leaf springs have 10 leaf. Will the 9 leaf that you offer be OK because I have brand new 10 leaf on the front (the new front came from Kaiser Willys).
- A: Yes these are the proper ones for you and will work perfectly for you.
Q: How can I tell or measure if my springs have lost some arch on a 3B. The only thing I can find in manuals is that I should have 8″ of ground clearance.
- A: They should have an arch to them. If they look flat then they are worn out. Please call us toll free. We can figure out what you have together. Thanks!
Q: My 1947 CJ-2A has a slight lean to the left 9 leaf w/still arch to them, I read one time early jeeps have a natural lean to one side in the rear springs, is that true? How and why?
- A: Yes all old Willys lean to the drivers side alittle. But it shouldn’t be too much. Typically any leaf springs still on the vehicle that are that old are not going to be good any more.
Q: Will the rear springs from a 1961 Wagoneer fit a 1950 Jeep Pick-up?
- A: They didn’t make Wagoneers in 1961. Sounds like you have a Willys Station Wagon. The leaf springs in a Willys Station Wagon and Willys Truck are different. But we have both.
Q: You say that the springs measure 42″ eye to eye. Mine measure 41″ eye to eye. Are these the right springs to get?
- A: Yes these are for sure correct and 100% right for the vehicles listed above.
Q: My ’52 M38 has 11 leaves on the rear. It served as a radio Jeep at some point in time and the radio was mounted on the left side which of course makes it lean that way. Anyway I plan on replacing them sometime before spring ’13. Can I replace the center bolt and add the two extra leaves from my old springs? Or would it even be necessary?
- A: I’m sure you could and it may help the lean. I always recommend replacing springs in pairs. These will give you plenty of support.
Q: Are the leaf springs that came on the CJ-3B the same width as the springs that came on the CJ-3A?
- A: Yes thay are the same as listed above.
Q: I just bought a 1942 GPW. I want to replace the leaf springs on front and rear. I live in rough country. What do you suggest?
Q: I have a CJ-3A. Not sure how it was used originally. Looks like it may of had a radio on the rear left side. It has a pto with a generator that sits between and just behind the seats. The front springs are 10 leaf, the rear have 11 leafs. It has a Koenig cab as well. I would like to stay with the heavier spring. What are the part numbers or do you have a complete kit available?
- A: Please call us toll free. We can help you ID your vehicle and get you the parts you need. These 9 leaf rear leaf springs should be plenty heavy duty enough.
