This jeep was found in a Salvage yard when my friends and I went to lunch to buy a gas tank out of that jeep. I wanted that jeep and made a deal with the man at that yard for a trade. I let my 50 Willys pickup go after trading it for 2 CJ2As. this one and one that had a ford engine sitting in the compartment. I hooked it up and sold it. The other one(this one) had no engine in it but he give me a 2.5 Chevy 4 Cylinder commonly called the Iron Duke. I did all the Transferring over. I used the original T90 with an Offenhauser adapter. I also took the original frame mounts, cutting the Rivets and slid them down to adapt to my new engine. I put the alternator on the other side of the engine so that I could use the original Battery Box. I also could use the same Radiator and stock steering. My exhaust came out the same way as original. Then by the Help of Muffler Masters John was able to route the exhaust around my Power-Take Off, so I could run both shafts Front and rear. Best way to go! I changed the windshield over because I liked the one peace solid glass with air-vent. Yes I built the Hard-Top Myself.
