155: Romeo Dilig’s 1958 Willys M38A1
My name is Romeo Dilig, MVPA (Military Vehicle Preservation Association) member/Restorer from the Philippines. This is my M38A1 which was manufactured in 1958 according to the data plate attached to it. This Jeep was acquired by the Philippine Army through the USAID (United States Agency for International Development). This Jeep was used by the Philippine Army Engineering Brigade. I bought this in an auction. It is powered by hurricane engine (valve-in-head). I had this Jeep painted with a more modern color, that of the “dessert storm” era, but the parts of this Jeep are 80% original.

I known that the heat guard om the exhaust stack is manufactured by filipino welders. If you look closely, the windshield frame is also manufactured. (not original), so are the hinges.
