I just purchased my 2nd jeep very rough to restore , i think it is a m38 have not found any serial plates but front has a screen over grill it is a 24 volt l head engine. where are the numbers to be found with no data plate. the engine turns over planing to crank it next week. my other jeep is a 48 model cj2a that i am restoreing with a 100 trailer. this runs very good. I am 78 years old owned a large auto repair shop for 25 years but never worked on jeeps. the question is my m38 has roled front fenders this does not match the m 38 with a flat head l engine. any info you can give me i need. thanks wayne
