Michael Lex

This is my mostly 1955 Willys truck. An original Arizona vehicle. I found it in a field in Smowflake. Replaced or repaired about everything mechanical including the electric overdrive. I added an alternator to power an electric radiator fan which keeps things cool in the summer here. The canopy I fashioned from old Willys pictures and a detailed advertisement for a Studebaker cover, Willys engine was replaced long ago with a Chevy 235. The (faded) paint job is original, making it easy to replace a rusted fender and tailgate with faded red parts from a 1949 and a 1952. My son and I drive this regularly inhibited only by the 50’s gas mileage. The interior is a work in progress.
