Just finished the job on my 1963 CJ-5. Took 1 & 1/2 years. All parts were purchases from Mike at Kaiser Willy’s. The Jeep was a real show stopper at American Legion Post 434 Memorial Day services. I-We (legion members and post Riders) are now going to use the Jeep to pick up returning veterans and take to our post for dinner and celebrating and then take them home. The Jeep will also be used at numerous Post functions and parades. Found the Jeep on a ranch in the Yosemite area. Put on a trailer and took home. Started the restoration in Feb. 2011 and finished May of 2012. Completely restored the body, motor and under carriage to convert the Jeep back to military look. First time out was Memorial Day of 2012 At our American Legion Memorial Service.
