586: David Carlson’s 1953 Willys Truck

Still original except for volt system upgrade. Front bumper. Disc brakes front and rear. “Ole Blue” has been in multiple parades for Susan G Komen Benefits. It is also my go to fishing truck in northern Wisconsin Lake Superior.

  1. If the ground strap was still under the generator to the frame 6-12Volt conversion is unecessary Withdisc brakes keep them clean off road as they will gather a lot more grit. The original brakes worked fine if they were properly adjusted, boosted with a hydravac. air over booster, or brakes from a wagoneer most station wagons or V-6 CJ’s would bolt on. The body restoration job looks great.
