These are my two projects … I love the military look…and my 48 Truck has been fixed up to be a troop /weapons carrier. My 46 CJ-2A has been completely repainted (and no longer has the star on the hood…for now) Just LOVE the look of both jeeps together!
1948 Pickup w/ Original Go Devil L-134 Engine. Vehicle restore took 7 years as original truck had been sitting in a field. I’ve used all original parts as purchased through Kaiser Willys… or had scavenged at local junk yards or via Jeep parts resources on the Web. Wanted to have a mini munitions carrier look.. and used artistic license to create my WWII era commemoration. It has been a big hit in the shows I’ve had it in. The back of the truck has a Browning 30 Cal. MG and tank radio / bench. This vehicle was on stands for about 3 years in my garage. My sons and I camped in it (while in the garage) on many occasions over the summer and had so much fun in it while the engine was out of it and was being completely cleaned/rebuilt. The vehicle runs very well and gets a lot of attention in the city of Butler PA. I belong to the Butler Flat Fender Club (anyone can join !!! and it’s free !!!!)
