This truck was a former fire dept. vehicle where I first started my career in the fire service. It had been sold to a friend of my Dad’s long before I was hired but I worked on his Christmas tree farm for years riding around in the old Willys. The owner passed away 6 years ago and the truck had been sitting. I had expressed some interest in it if nobody in the family wanted it for themselves. Last fall the owner’s son contacted me and said “My mom says she wants you to have the Jeep so I’ll bring down the title.” I spent the winter getting it back on the road and couldn’t wait to get some pictures of it back on the tree farm. I love that the truck has a local history and am sentimental about it. I’ve learned alot about the willys since I started working on it and look forward in helping my brother get our Dad’s 59 willys truck on the road again.
