I got this at bargain price of $500 in 2005. It had the original hood numbers and “VIN”. It was in a pile of parts in my mentors barn. It was disassembled and the fellow lost interest in in it and sold it to Chief Devine. When I got accepted to Warrant Officer Candidate school, my mentor CW4 R Devine told me that I could have it at the price of $500, while my wife was standing with me. She thought it was the 52 he already had restored. When I brought it home on a truck and trailer, my wife said “You’ll never make it run” Game on, I thought. You are going to challenge a Maintenance Warrant Officer to get something running, I thought? I spent 400 hours restoring it. Kaiser Willys was a prime source for my components that I could not repair or re-fabricate.
It is possible. I currently have a 1976 M880 and a 54 M38A1. I maintain a fleet of 12 for a fellow Warrant (retired) that ranges from 1941 WC21 that he wants me to put back together and 11 others rangin back to the early 50s.
Paul,
Good morning. I was at AT Niantic last week and Mr. “O” Len told me about you. I think we have met before. The OD sickness is nuts at my house. My wife usually just turns her head. Presently:

Just Nuts. Everything is rolling and in A-1 condition.
