My restoration story has just began. I have always wanted a Willys but other priorities have always taken a front seat. I just happened to stumble on this beauty at a auctions a few weeks ago. I had no intention of even buying another vehicle let alone a 46 Willys. At $600 dollars I was ready to throw in the towel but for some reason my ARM was forced in the air by a higher power and boom the hammer came down I own one of my dream toys for $625 dollars. I towed her home popped open the hood and found a beautiful original flat head four in her. Had it purring like a kitten in one weekend. Replaced a shortest wire from resisted to the coil. Changed rotor, cap, plugs and plug wires. A new battery and she fires up like a brand new Jeep. I’m in the process of pulling the tranny to rebuild the clutch and check out the transfer case and tranny gears. I’m so stoked to drive this beauty down the street.
