This is my 1962 CJ-5 Willy’s. I got it from a friend in December 2020, it was her dad’s before he passed. They lived in Arizona so there wasn’t any rust. It had been sitting for 7 years in storage before I got it, we put gas and a battery in it and it started right up. We drove it around the yard and pulled into the carport, everything worked good. So my two sons and I took it apart and started the rebuild. About 97% of the parts we used came from Kaiser Willys, they have been awesome to work with and had a big inventory of replacement parts. Nine months later it was going down the road, at 45mph lol. All of the work was done by us including the painting. It is painted the original color which is Peacock Blue. It was a fun project and my son’s and I spent a lot of quality time together.
