This restoration started out as a father-son project in the summer of 2008, and after my son returned to college that fall, I finished the project over the next two years, using many parts from Kaiser Willys and the local Willys Jeep experts at Border Parts in Spring Valley near San Diego. Our Jeep is completely original (including the 6-volt system), except for a few safety changes like turn signals, seat belts, and a passenger tail light. I have the original wheels, but need to save up for the NDT tires to complete the project. We enjoy taking it out to the trails in Anza Borrego Desert, where this photo was taken.
