Jeep Willys CJ-3A original model, L-134 engine (Go Devil), completely restored. We worked in the brake systems, suspension, front and rear differentials, engine, clutch, gauges, exhaust, cooling, driveshaft, axle system, front and rear axle (Dana 25 and Dana 44), electrical, fuel and more.
This Jeep was very well worked, following the Willys Overland standards. I talked many times with Mike (Kaiser Willys) and Jay (Willys Overland) and I followed their advices and this is the end result. I will still work on the seats and cushions and other things. But this little Jeep CJ-3A is really like a member of our family, we love him.
I bought this CJ-3A in 2013 together my loved wife that supported me, earlier the year. First, the desire to have a myth, a legend. But my dream was to have a MB 1942, a legitimate war veteran and honor him with a beautiful full restoration. But my other partner, my beloved father, told me that his first car was a 1952 CJ-3A and said me some of your adventures aboard your CJ-3A that often led him to distances of 400km on the same day and brought back home, but life has made him sell your CJ-3A a few years later by another car and exchanging this for another and another ….. but then this came this 1950 CJ3A in our family, to bring us joy and happiness, that only a Willys Jeep can provide. And that is what is happening now. This is our little CJ-3A a member of our family and we treat with great care, respecting its 64 years of life, which will now have much comfort together us.
Dear Patrick, sorry my delay. Happy 2015!
The spare tire is original, my CJ3A had this tailgate support when I bought, so I kept the originality.
Please let me know if you need more details, I´m available.
With Best Regards

Bonjour,
J’adore votre restauration.
Patrick

Hello,
I love your restoration. I bought this year a CJ3A more or less in the same state as yours and I think to restore it in the same style.
Having seen your photos, I have a question I ask myself: what reasons made you choose to put the spare wheel in the middle of the tailgate of the jeep rather than on right side. I also hesitate on this question and that is why I shall like having your opinion about it.
Still congratulations for your jeep.
Patrick
