History on the jeep is it’s a 1944 Ford GPW serial number 210513. DOD was 7-44. At some time after it came out of the Richmond CA plant it was shipped to Australian with some other jeeps and saw service with the Australian Army. At present I am in correspondence with some guys in Australia who are catalogue all Australian jeeps during ww2. I should be able to find out the date it was delivered to Australia. The original Hood number it left Richmond CA with. It’s new Australia ARN and what unit it served in.
At some point after the war it found it’s way back to the States, for how long and where I dont know. Then it was purchased by a dealer in Belgium along with some other jeeps where it sat in a barn for 20+ years. It was then purchased by a guy in the UK about 15 years ago. I got her last year where it had been sitting in a green house for the last 8 years.
