I wanted to share my Jeep story. This is my 1948 CJ-2A. When I got it, it was all torn apart, not even a rolling chassis. The previous owner spent a lot of time converting the frame into an MB frame. I spent a year converting it back to a CJ-2A frame, sand blasting and painting and putting everything back together.
The license plate is dedicated to my father who passed away from brain cancer a little over a year ago. It’s his initials and football number. It has a VW TDI in it and right now it’s going through a transformation of getting a Jeep T18. I was able to drive it all summer long with the family and they love it. Just about every part I needed I got from KW. What a fantastic operation you all have down there.

Great restoration
Congratulations on this amazing 2A!
I am currently busy in restoring my own 1948 2A and would like to mount the spare wheel also behind the tailgate. May I ask you to kindly hare some details on your solution to that task? Thank you!
Wonder looking piece. Your hard work is obvious. Congratulations!
Great job with great photos! You give us all confidence in our restorations!
Thanks for your diligence and example.
Be careful about putting a longer transmission in the 2A. there is limited space for a rear driveshaft nd it can inhibit the lfe and movement of the shaft itself, If you want a 4 speed a limited number of J series vehicles or scouts used a T-19 4 speed that has creeper low synchronized in them. The scout used a model 20 transfer case that was adapted to the model 20. I pu one in my CJ-7 and it is incredibly strong.

Que motivo tan bonito. Allá en USA es fácil. En mi país lindo, Colombia, es casi imposible hacer esto.Me gustaría tener un vehículo de esos.
Felicitaciones!
