Dean Pettingill
1957 Willys, bulit by Dean Pettingill of Clearfield, Utah. I bought this truck in 1980, stock as can be. Since then I have changed everything. I wanted a daily driver so I went with a 1973 3/4 ton 4×4 chevy chassis, 350 engine auto trans and now it’s a driver.
Update – It’s a 1957 Willys truck converted with a three-quarter ton Chevy 4 x 4 1973 with a 350, recently converted over to a 454 add a new processor transfer case and a four-speed automatic with A stall torque converter. When I started building this truck it was completely stock but it had a straight six and it changed it over to a 1973 Chevy three-quarter ton with a 350 which I ran for about five years then I decided to converted over to a big block. It was a tight fit but it’s sweet and it fits perfect. This truck has been in the movie series blood and oil which is starring Don Johnson and Chase Crawford which has been canceled. But it was fun to see it on ABC

hi Dean,
great job on a great truck (combination)
I wonder if you would share info on the process as I am preparing a similar build.

I would be happy to advise you on your project.

It looks like you have mounted grab rails inside the cab along the windshield posts?
If so, can you post some interior pictures?
Great looking truck!
