I purchased the Jeep from Bill (Willy) Ramage last summer, who had purchased the Jeep in hopes of restoring it, but was unable to complete the rebuild due to health problems. Bill used the money to purchase a completed SW (featured earlier this winter as Jeep of the week). It was our plan to go to shows this summer together, but unfortunately Bill passed away before this dream could be realized. With all the great help from Kaiser Willys, I was able to complete the rebuild this winter. On it’s maiden voyage last week, I realized that the transmission will need a rebuild, as it is almost impossible to keep it in second gear. This will happen as soon as I receive the rebuild kit. This Jeep was originally owned by the Village of Lumby, in British Columbia, and found it’s way to Alberta when Bill purchased it. It has been a fun project, and I am hoping to find another Willys to rebuild at a later date.
