Luis Fernando Benavides Lizcano

Hello fellows. My name is Luis Fernando Benavides Lizcano. I was born in Colombia but I have been living in Costa Rica since the year 2000. Ever since I was a little boy, I have been passionate about Willys. I inherited this passion from my father Luis Carlos Benavides Rodríguez, which is a Colombian retired Army Maj. He used to tell me his anecdotes and stories from the Army, on board in his Willys, without even imagining he was sowing the seeds of the Willys’ passion in me. In 2016, already living here in Costa Rica, several friends and myself founded the group called “Willys Pasión Costa Rica” and ever since, we have been trying to put the Jeep Willys from 1941 to 1971 together in different national events. This is a 1953 Station Wagon Willys. It has its original F-Head Hurricane engine, T90 transmission and Dana 18 transfer case. I have had this car for the last 2 years now. It really had a detailed and thorough restoration, always trying to keep the authenticity and uniqueness as possible. I hope you enjoy the following photographs as much as I enjoy my Willys Station Wagon in Atenas, my current city, here in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Greetings from Costa Rica
