I saw your photo of your Willys jeep project. I also have a M38A1 blue in color, but its a 1955. (Air Force salvage). What color blue did you choose, or do you intend to use when you paint it?

Thanks for posting the photos and even more for the write up. We have two M38A1s sitting in the driveway partially revitalized. I have finally got my two hips replaced and this Spring will go back to my therapy of working on the vehicles,
I think that, when they are done, they will need to find a home where they can roam like in the area where you live. Reminds me so much of Turlock, Ca. where I had a super Aunt and a few great friends who ranched. It might have been “old hat” for the locals, but, I used to love to get up at the crack of dawn and drive out for an hour into the countryside, past the Santa Fe lines and just breathe. I would think that it would be even more enjoyable in the Jeep. Hope to find out one day.
