Here are some photos of a 1948 Willys Jeepster we are restoring. It should be done by June 2010??? I'll send you more photos are the work is completed. The first couple of photos show my friends "Ron" and "Rookie" repairing the frame and adding new metal. The last couple of photos are of the frame after it was painted and the installation of all new break lines, brake cylinders, etc. Your friend, - Jake AKA Lowell V. Jacobsen

This 1948 Willys Overland Jeepster, now residing in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, is the home of its designer Brooks Stevens. This car came from Warren, Ohio, where its owner said he used it to go get ice cream with the grandkids. It's been in Wisconsin the past two years, where in summertime, it is used almost daily to go for coffee downtown in a quaint "Currier & Ives" community known as Cedarburg. Owner John Bishop fell in love with Jeepsters the first day they hit the showrooms - July 1948. He recalls riding his bicycle to go see it, in a dealership on Colorado Boulevard, in Pasadena, California. Jeepsters became very popular California cars in those days, with both the country club set, as well as beach front residents on Balboa Island, Newport Beach. Here John's car poses proudly, parked in front of the Brooks Stevens Designs facility in Grafton, a neighboring community to Cedarburg. - John Bishop

Pictured is my 1948 Willys Jeepster VJ-2. It's my first car; been in the family for 46 years. I've cruised with the gang on friday nights, then many years later gave my daughter rides. Now the Grandkids want Grandpa to give them rides. Thanks for supplying the great parts and helping us to keep the Willys running. - John Harper

Here is a picture of the Jeepster that i am restoring. It is a 6 cylinder 1949 model. As far as i know there are only a handfull Jeepsters in the Netherlands. Parts are not available here. Kaiser Willys has given excellent support and supplied lots of parts. Thanks to them I hope to drive my Jeepster before the summer begins.

I am trying to locate the alignment specs. for a 1949 Jeepster. any leads?
Hi John, We don’t really get into conversions that are not original to the vehicle. We can supply you with any restoration parts you may need. You can also try Jeepster Jim, he specializes in the Willys Jeepster and check out Forums to see if others have done this same conversion.
I have a 1948 Willy’s Jeepster with a 350 chevy engine. Yesterday while driving, the steering completely went out. I suspect that the internal worm gear in the steering box failed.
I now want to convert the front suspension system to a mustang II. What are the difficulties in doing this. Is there a kit specifically for the willys? Does the engine have to be pulled?
I am in Michigan, anyone know of a place that does this?

Hi fellow “Jeepster’ers” ha ha… I’m in great need of a windshield frame for my ’50 Jeepster!! Truly hoping that someone can help me locate one. I have completely finished “except paint”, my jeepster. Theres no sense in going any further on the project, having no windshield frame. At one time, in the early ’80’s, my car was complete, with all parts n pieces. Somehow, I lost the windshield frame. Is there anyone that can steer me in the direction of possibly finding this?
Thank You.

Hi Hudson, We have complete steering gear box repair kits. What engine do you have in it? Year?
I need help with finding a power steering gear box that will fit my jeepster. My wife can’t drive the jeepster because it is to difficult to turn the wheels at slow speeds. I am considering rebuilding all of the steering components but I think some of them will be replaced when fitting a power steering gear to the unit. Thanks for your help.
