Q: What are the gap setting for points and spark plugs for ’42 Willys Jeep?
- A: They are .020 for both.
Q: Are the contact luggs on the Distributor Caps where the wires plug in, made of Aluminum or Brass?
- A: Aluminium
Q: I am restoring a 1951 M38 military jeep 24 volt. Has anyone found or used a electronic ignition point set. Would like to keep it 24 volt.
- A: I don’t believe at this time there is a 24 volt solid state kit available.
Q: What is the correct setting for points and plugs for CJ-2A?
- A: .020 for both
Q: Is this 6 volt?
- A: They are for either 6 or 12 volt.
Q: What is the gap setting for the points?
- A: .020
Q: I can’t find the ID plate on my distributor, on a 1964 CJ-5. I’m trying to order a tune-up kit. Any advice?
- A: There should be a metal tag on the distributor. Sometimes they can be hard to see.
Q: I’m from Chile and I wonder if the distributor kit for CJ2A Willys is 12 volts or if the kit is 6 and 12 volts at the same time . ( Points, Rotor, PAC, Condenser)
- A: The distributors work on either voltage.

Mike is the 226 distributor bushings and the key on the bottom of the dist. under the gear that goes into the slot on the distributor drive shaft available?
