This is my 1967 Swiss Army CJ-5. My father rode in a Dodge und a Willys MB in 1945 as a 9 year old boy with US soldiers in my village! I received a jerry can when I turned 8 years old from my father from the 26th Infantry Division. They liberated our village, I cherish the jerry can. I told him I would buy a Jeep of my very own….. and after 38 years I bought my ex Swiss CJ-5! I love to ride in the Jeep all over! It’s a great car…. I love all aircraft, especially the Warbird. I have flown on a P51D Mustang, on a F4U4 Corsair, B25J Mitchel, AH1 Cobra, Yak 11 etc…. I tell: Ride with my Jeep is the same as flying in a MUSTANG!!! PS I did restore the undercarriage and engine, but the body is original… only white stars and USAF numbers are from an M38A1 from Vietnam airport.

Hey.. nice Jeep.!! Nice story..! What village is that.??
My family lives in Ossingen, about 30 min outside Zurich.!! I own a 1948 CJ-2A so I guess we have the same passion for old, wartime Jeeps. My passion comes from what used to be my favorite TV show way back when..
