Looking for, Willys Jeep Parts, Willys Jeep replacement parts, Willys Jeep body parts and much more for your 1941-1971 Willys vehicle, you have come to the right place!
I would contact the folks at Permatex. They should certainly have a chemical that would dissolve it. Toluene or acetone might work but I would check first..
Thanks,
John
I have a 48 Willys CJ-2A that was a farm vehicle with PTO etc. Was on a farm in ND since I purchased it 3 years ago for our American Legion post. We have restored it to military specs for parades. It blew a head gasket last week at a parade. Apparently the last time it was worked on at the farm the han Legionead and gasket was cemented on with red indian head permatex. I cannot get the head off using a 2 ton cherry picker hoist.
I have tried heating in with a torch and using an air hammer to no avail. Does anyone have any tips as to how to dislodge the head ? I am afraid that i will have to break the head in order to get it off.
