The Jeep history in my family dates back to May 20, 1946 when WW2 Veteran Glen Palmer paid $600 for a new 1945 Willy’s Scout MB made in the Toledo Overland plant. Photos, Film and Video tell its story of adventure. I have home movies of my first ride at age 2.5, TV commercials, music videos and the 4th of July parades.
In 1947, Ohio to Oklahoma Camping Trip: 4 passengers, no top, including gear and my father a Korean War Veteran, TJ Palmer. Out and about in the Thanksgiving Blizzard of 1950 helping stranded motorist and neighbors. 1956 Washington State from Ohio to work in a logging camp. I still hear stories about rides from back in the day from old friends of the family. Going for a ride in the Willy’s was always included in a visit to my uncle until he passed it on to me in 1971.
…so many stories, one wild ride. Camping, cross country, boy scouts and parties. Trying to impress my date at a drive-in movie by putting the windshield down and a picnic spread on the dash. Out on the road again in the Blizzard of 1978. Loaded up a vibraphone across the back seat and jammed outside at a party. Winning awards in parades and going to Put In Bay, brother Tom and I drove the jeep to work, high school and college. Our Jeep is really part of the family. Thanks to my parents and my bro for all the maintenance and TLC. Mom kept records, made military grade seat covers and snacks. Dad at the center of the operation has towed, stored, painted and restored a Jeep that has never gone to war but has seen a lot of action.

Dear:
I really love these stories!
I had during my youth an MB whom was found in a barn in provincia de Buenos Aires, General Rodríguez.
It was complety unassembled and the engine blocked and after the deal (was bought for about USD 500),with my father (was an excelent mecanic) started the reconstruccion proyect.
I used for several years (wonderful years), And one day decided to sell it, after several problems that I had with the bolts of the engine head.
(Bad decision!)
I tried for years to find it to re buy it, but unsuccsesfully.
Last year I had my compensation!
I found An CJ3B in very good shape (Here is called M606) and is almost restored, I used already a lot and I love it!
Never sell it again!
Regards
Jorge
