On your M38 did you needed to modify any firing to the engine brackets or
to adjust the engine length into the bay area, did it connected with no
adapter your front axle?
Thinking about replacing my Org engine in the M38 for a CJ5 dauntless V6
But the whellbase on m38 is 80″ and the cj5 is 81″

RJ– sorry for late reply–, engine required new engine brackets and radiator support, only adapter needed was between transmission and transfer case from Advanced Adapters. Both drive shafts were adjusted in length at local shop.
Fit engine and radiator to provide firewall clearance.
