This is my 1948 Willys CJ-2A. Bought it for $1800 off the side of the road. It ran but wasn’t the prettiest thing. I have slowly cleaned it up, pulled a couple dents and made it look better. Our city has a car show every 4th of July, so I decided that since the previous years didn’t have any Jeeps, I would clean mine up as quick as possible to show it… not going for awards or pride, just going for a classic Jeep at the show. So did some very minor body work, new windshield, rubbers, gauges, and slapped an OD paint job on it just in time to tow it to the show. While it runs, it has no brakes currently. So trailered it over and showed it. Everyone loved it, but there were far more “pretty” cars on hand! Amazingly, the ‘Ol girl took FIRST prize in its class! I was shocked, but so excited that my “bucket-O-rust” took first place! This was my first car show ever too! Pretty cool. I love old iron! – Jon

  1. Tires are really old sears tires. They are rotting and need to be replaced. Tires are not made any more, I looked! 😉
